       Hi guys! My name is Mattia, and I am Italian. I have always been very passionate about languages since my adolescence. I studied French, German and English in high school and I continued my academic career at the university of Venice where I graduated in Japanese, and I achieved my master in languages and cultures of eastern Asia. I did my last exam in Kyoto, at the KICL, Kyoto institute of cultures and languages. I was thrilled as it was my first time in Japan! I had the time of my life and that is when I decided to start teaching.

I was giving English lessons to Japanese students, it started as a hobby, but it quickly grew into something bigger and much more interesting. I went back to Italy and I looked for a tutor job, I gave private lessons to professionals and young adults. I was holding Japanese, Italian, and English classes at that time. I worked in collaboration with the FAU (the Florida Atlantic University); I was teaching Italian to university students.

I believe that there is so much to learn in this life that we will never stop doing it :) Hence, I decided to learn Portuguese too and teach English to some Portuguese students in London.

I have lived in London since 2011. I am giving private lessons to young adults and professionals, focusing on their aspirations and goals. I believe I am a great communicator, serious and funny, I adapt easily to my students and their learning process. I adopt different methods of teaching depending on the students’ needs and their diverse personalities.

Lessons need to be entertaining, interesting, enjoyable. Nobody wants to get bored nor waste their time while studying! Otherwise, you will not learn anything.

I have been called ‘the most positive person on Earth’, and I have been told to work with my passion too many times now! It is time to share this with you :)

Bom dia a todos! O meu nome é Mattia, sou italiano e um apaixonado por idiomas desde minha adolescência. Estudei francês, alemão e inglês no colégio e continuei a minha carreira acadêmica na universidade de Veneza, onde eu consegui o diploma em Japonês e mais tarde atingindo o doutorado em línguas e culturas da Asia oriental. Realizei a minha última prova universitária no KICL, o instituto de línguas e culturas de Kyoto, onde desde de início estive sempre muito entusiasmado, já que era a primeira vez que estive no Japão.  Acredito ter vivido alguns dos melhores momentos da minha vida na “Terra do Sol Nascente” e também foi por lá que descobri a paixão por ensinar e partilhar os meus conhecimentos linguísticos com outras pessoas. 

Tive a oportunidade de ensinar inglês pra estudantes japoneses, e tudo isso começou como um passatempo que rapidamente cresceu para algo maior e muito mais gratificante. Voltei para a Itália e procurei um trabalho como tutor de línguas, desde que eu já estava dando lições privadas de inglês, italiano e japonês para professionais e jovens adultos. Estive também trabalhando em colaboração com a FAU (the Florida Atlantic Univeristy) ensinando italiano para estudantes universitários americanos.

No meu ver, o processo de aprendizagem nunca se esgota na vida, por isso mesmo eu resolvi também aprender a língua portuguesa, para poder ensinar inglês a brasileiros que residem em Londres. Moro na capital britânica desde 2011 e lecciono para professionais e jovens adultos, focando em suas aspirações e objetivos pessoais.  Acredito que tenho uma boa capacidade comunicativa, demonstrando um lado sério e ao mesmo tempo outro divertido, mas sempre me adaptando facilmente aos meus estudantes criando um processo de aprendizagem personalizado para cada pessoa. Tento também adotar diferentes métodos de ensino consoante necessidades de cada aluno, sempre em sintonia com a suas personalidades e interesses pessoais.

As minhas aulas tem que ser divertidas, interessantes e animadas, pois ninguém espera ficar aborrecido ou perder o tempo enquanto estuda! Na minha opinião e’ mais difícil aprender quando o processo não e’ atrativo.   

Muitos dizem o seguinte: - “Mattia, você é a pessoa mais positiva que conheço”, e constantemente ao meu redor as pessoas questionam o porquê de não seguir essa paixão por ensinar... Acho que chegou a hora certa de partilhar isso com vocês!
