Hello from New York!!
 
I’m tutor Kie, a vocalist and piano tutor who has been living in New York for 10 years.
 

＜VOCAL LESSONS☆＞
 
This lesson is based on a singing method called “Belting” (producing high notes with a powerful voice) from Broadway in New York, which is not well known in Japan yet.
 
Why don’t you aim for a powerful singing voice that moves people’s hearts?
 
This is perfect for students who love musicals. And if karaoke is your passion, this lesson will be an eye-opener! Even if you are an absolute beginner, I will carefully teach you from the very basics, including your posture when singing, how to breathe, and how to get the right pitch. Students who want to challenge themselves with English lyrics are also welcome.
 

The general flow of my lessons

Please prepare a song to practice during your lesson. If you don’t know what to sing, don’t worry! Let’s discuss and decide together.
 


＜PIANO LESSONS☆＞
 
This lesson will be based on classical piano. You can learn the basics of music such as how to read music scores, rhythm, and expression.
 

I will also offer advice on teaching materials according to the student’s level and learning goals.
 

Self-practice is very important, especially for piano. However, if you practice the wrong way, it is a waste of your time and meaningless. Therefore, I will also teach you how to practice efficiently and practically.
 
Especially for young children, its is difficult for them to practice properly by themselves. Therefore, parents should always take the lessons together with their children, so that they can understand the content, and act as a teacher and repeat what they have learned before the next lesson. The key to your child’s piano progress lies with you!
 

If requested, I can also offer both vocal and piano lessons in English. This is a great opportunity to learn music and English at the same time!
 




ーBiographyー
 

I started practicing classical piano lessons at the age of 3 and have won prizes in competitions. After graduating from the musical department of the Showa Academy of Music and Arts, I worked as a voice trainer at a major vocal school with over 100 students.
 
After moving to the U.S., I majored in Musical Theater at HB studio, where I learned Broadway-style acting and singing. I have been teaching vocal skills and piano at Amadeus Music School for the past five years while performing in my own live shows.
