I am from California, United States. I am fully billingual in English and Chinese Mandarin (中文是我的母語), and also basic conversation level in Japanese (日本語が少し話せます). I went to university in California, and spent most of my time living there before moving to Japan in 2018, and I have been in Japan ever since.
My lesson style is very casual. Here are some important things:
1. Don't worry about making mistakes
I know what it's like to try to speak to someone in an unfamiliar language, since I am also currently learning Japanese online, so please know that all our sessions are completely judgement-free, and don't worry about speaking in perfect grammar or pronounciation. The most important thing is to help you become comfortable speaking in English, whether it's for work, travel, or simply meeting new friends.
2. Keep it casual and fun!
One of the scariest things about learning a langauge is to feel that you're in a classroom with a strict teacher. This is totally NOT that. Our lessons will be about fun things that you'd like to talk about, or just casually talking about anything at all! Let's keep it fun and smiple!
Outside of work, I enjoy music, movies, travelling, and exploring local bars and restaurants. I try different foods whenever I travel to a different country. This is me eating durian for the very first time in Bangkok. It was surprisingly delicious though!

I visited the Kansai area of Japan during the winter of 2017. It was such an amazing trip that I decided to move to Japan afterwards!
