LET’S LEARN JAPANESE WITH ME!

Hi there, my name is Masahiro. I’ve been teaching Japanese online since 2020.If you're tired of just studying all by yourself and want to speak Japanese with a native, please join my class! With a relaxed atmosphere and no pressure, I'll lead you to become a fluent Japanese speaker. Let me introduce my teaching method and trial class in detail below:

  • ABOUT ME

Let me tell you about myself in order to help build up a good relationship with you. I'm born and raised in a prefecture called Yamaguchi. Besides communicating with foreigners, I have a passion for music. I'm an indie pop/rock singer-songwriter. I love to listen to classic rock, 80s pop, latest hit songs, chilled jazz, and calm music. In my spare time, I like practicing meditation, traveling, reading, watching movies, cooking, eating, and drinking wines and whiskeys. Let me hear about your favorite things to do in our class!

  • Beginner-level students (N5 - N4)
I’ll start up our class by talking in basic Japanese about the weather, weekend, and seasonal topics etc. With this level of students, I teach Japanese according to the well-known textbook called Genki. We can learn vocabulary, grammar and colloquial phrases through dialogues in the book. The transition between chapters is smooth so you can improve your general skills with ease.
Lesson Material: Conversations, the Genki textbook, workbooks, writing homework etc.
  • Intermediate-level students (N3)
If you're in the case that you know basic Japanese but are not confident in speaking or continuing conversations. For students with this level, I'll encourage you to speak in Japanese as much as possible. You don't need to be afraid of making mistakes or don't need to rush as well. Since I'm also a foreign language learner, I understand how you feel when you speak in your learning language. During the classes, I speak slowly and clearly with basic Japanese phrases. Let's try to read articles that are written in basic Japanese words. You can choose topics from a variety of interesting articles. Through reading articles that you're interested in, you can learn not only Japanese sentence structures and common expressions, but also Japanese culture!
Lesson Material: Conversations, articles with basic Japanese, workbooks, writing homework, etc.
  • Advanced-level students (N2 -N1)
As I work with advanced students, I'm always impressed by their eagerness in learning Japanese. I'm sure you're one of them! I'm willing to help you to polish your Japanese skills. Since I'm a certified translator, I can correct your writings. Or if you want to boost your Japanese reading skill, editorials or news articles would be perfect materials. We can also discuss after reading them and it would be a great speaking exercise for these level of students.
Lesson Material: Conversations, editorials, news articles, workbooks writing homework, etc.
  • JLPT Preparation
There are many students who are aiming to pass their JLPT exams. Some of them book my classes for preparation for the exams from the beginning and some start to study for the exams after they become interested in the tests. Of course, we can integrate the lesson methods above with preparation for JLPT into one class.
Lesson Materials: JLPT workbooks.

Thank you for your interest in booking a lesson with me.
