Hello ^_^ 
 
I'm Jackie, an American from California, United States but I currently live in Saitama, Japan.  I've lived here since December 2016.  I have also lived in Okinawa for about 2 years in 2002-2004 because of military service.  My hometown is famous for a winery by the name of Gallo Wines.
 
I want to say, 7 - 11 in Japan is awesome!!!!! 
 
Hobbies
 
Some of my hobbies are traveling, eating, watching movies, and reading.  One of my goals while living in Japan is visiting all the prefectures here.  So far, I've only visited about 10 prefectures.   I have only visited about 4 other countries, so I still have a lot more to go. 
 
The pictures below were taken in Hiroshima around the New Year's time frame.  As you can tell, I like pokemon and am currently playing Pokemon Go. 

Teaching Style
 
While working in Japan, I've taught in various enviroments and subject matters.  I've taught at colleges, companies, intensive English camps, 1-1, group lessons, and the past year I've been teaching IELTS(mainly speaking and writing).  
 
I've been told that my teaching style is very relaxed and that it does help my students feel more comfortable around me.  My teaching style is converstation based in a natural easy to understand speech.  I always try to aim my lessons to be relaxed, enjoyable, and fun! I think it is important to enjoy English otherwise you won't feel like you want to learn it.  So sit back, relax, and have a good time speaking.
