Hello! My name is Edwin. I'm from Uganda and I am a native English speaker. 皆さんこんにちは！エドウィンと申します。ウガンダ人で、母国語は英語です。
About me
I love learning languages, and have been enjoying learning Japanese since I went to Nagoya, Japan for graduate studies (2014-2021). I also enjoy cooking (and eating!), taking walks in nature, reading, and listening to music. 名古屋大学で留学しました。趣味は料理を作ることと食べること、散歩、読書と音楽を聴くことです。
My teaching background
While in Japan, I worked as an English language teacher for seven (7) years, and offered conversation lessons and business English lessons. I loved every minute of the teaching experience because I was able to offer value to my students and help them achieve their language goals, and at the same time learn about the culture and life in general from the perspective of each of my students. 留学していた時には、英会話とビジネス英語の先生としてアルバイトをしました。生徒たが親切で、日本の文化についてたくさん勉強させてもらいました。すごく良い経験でした。
Me as a teacher

My lesson types
1. English conversation practice. We will have a conversation about any topic of your choice. During this lesson, feel free to also ask about anything that is giving you a hard time, and I will help you understand it. 英会話練習。
2. Customized lesson/Skills improvement: At the start, we will have a conversation about your language goals. Then we will discuss the best way to achieve them, and I will create customized lessons with specific targets for us to meet. It can be about grammar, pronunciation, self-confidence, or making presentations. 英語をスキルアップ（文法や発音などの改善）。
3. Counselling lesson. If you are not sure which of my lessons is best for you, please book this lesson and let us discuss it together! 適当なレッスンを選ぶために一緒に話し合って、決めましょう。
4. English Proofreading and Editing. If you have any documents in English, I will check them for any grammatical or structural errors, and give you feedback on how to improve them. 英語で書かれた文書の校正。
