My name is Sonika and I teach English using an online platform enabling interaction between students and teachers in a small class. I have several years experience of teaching English at various levels. Generally, English is taught in the conventional manner in which the teacher delivers the lecture and the students listen to him passively. In this process the students do not feel the ease to discuss their problems and challenges with the teachers. I have observed that students have fear of this language whereas learning it is not that difficult provided one adopts the right approach. I keep the interaction level high in the classroom ensuring every student’s participation in the topic being discussed. It makes them confident and they open up to discuss their difficulties. They enjoy the classes and can clearly observe their improvement with each session. .
