My name is Bernadette. I have a 420hrs TEFL Advanced level 5 diploma, I am very excited to teach English it is my passion to help you better speak English. I am passionate about teaching and interacting with different cultures.
I live in South Africa in the Western Cape in a small town called Hermanus. Interesting fact, Hermanus is the top 10 destination in the World for whale watching. They arrive between June and November every year and we are blessed to witness these majestic creators.
I am an energic, fun loving person. I am a native English speaker, and fluent in Afrikaans with a little Zulu on the side.
My teaching history is limited to the corporate environment, this is where I developed my love for teaching and coaching people. I can teach general English as well as Business English.
If you just want conversation in English or a vocabulary lesson
I will take the time to understand and help students every lesson that is taught - I have a lot of patience with new learners and experienced learners, there are times students may need extra encouragement and motivation.
Every student should have fun and learn at the same time, my lessons are structured around a students needs. As students have their own strengths and weaknesses it is important to form and structure their lessons, so that the student gets the best results overall to develop their skill sets.
