Hello!
My name is Cat, and I am a native speaker of English. I have taught English to beginners, intermediates, and advanced children and adults, since I qualified as a Trinity certified EFL English Teacher, in 2004.
I'm a DJ, known as Afrocat, and I play funk, jazz, and reggae at clubs and events, and host a couple of radio shows. I also work freelance for international charities. I live in Brighton, UK - a seaside city about 45 minutes from London, and have a passion for travelling all over the world.
I love meeting new people, and sharing skills that will be useful for my students' lives, as well as hearing all about them. I encourage my students to speak freely about whatever interests them, and my aim is to make you comfortable to practice and improve your English.
I can offer you English tutoring, either as structured lessons and/or conversational practice. You can focus on topics of your choice, or I can prepare lessons based on your personal level, goals and interests.
I aim to keep my lessons interesting, fun, and relevant to you. I make use of a variety of different materials, such as videos, audio, songs, articles, quizzes, exercises and textbooks, to get the very best results for you. Lessons can be flexible to help meet your personal language needs.
I am very patient and friendly, and you can ask me all the questions you want, as many times as you want.
Just let me know what you need and how I can help you, and I will do my very best to help you achieve your goals of becoming fluent in English.
I look forward to getting to know you and helping you improve your English!
