ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Sylvia.
I'm a journalist/writer from Poland who loves to travel and learn new languages. Currently I do part-time job as radio DJ where I introduce Korean music and culture to Polish listeners.
I can speak Polish, English, Korean and Spanish and I'm willing to teach you Korean and Polish, one of the most difficult languages in the world!
All beginners are welcome!
TEACHING BACKGROUND
I had a pleasure teaching not only primary school students during classes, but also my own friends who wanted to learn Korean but hadn't any idea where to start. That's how I created online lessons for them.
I've loved learning foreign languages since I was a child. I've started to get English classes when I was 10 years old and continued it till my university studies at Higher Academy of Management EDUCATION in Wroclaw.
My adventure with Spanish language is a bit different because it have started from watching Spanish TV series. That's how I have known Spanish pronunciation and daily expressions, later I focused on grammar and took Spanish classes in university.
And then I've decided to learn Korean language. From Hangul (Korean alphabet) to daily expressions and natural talk, everything while listening Korean radio, watching dramas and reading books. And because I wanted to improve my language skills I went to Korea where I've lived for one year and met new friends.
Also I took Speak Korean 1 course authorized by Yonsei University.
TEACHING STYLE
I believe the best way to learn foreign language is listening, speaking, writing and having fun. Grammar lessons will come later, when you'll become more familiar with language you want to learn.
Firstly I want you to focus on speaking and listening. We'll repeat new words and sentences and learn simple conversations in a way that will help you memorize it easily, you'll learn language basics while singing songs, watching videos and... doing homework of course! But don't be afraid, I promise you your homework will be very friendly!
