Hello All! 

I am new here to Cafetalk and I'm writing this column to introduce myself. My name is Gavin, I'm 26 years old, from Ireland and currently living in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I am an online English teacher, specializing in business English and conversational English for adults.

I love history, and regularly visit ancient sites local to me such as Angkor Wat, and Kulen Mountain, as well the many, often harrowing, museums that Cambodia has to offer. (I will be posting columns about temple trips with photos in the coming days) .


I follow global politics and like to stay up to date with economics, sciences , and sports too. And I plan on creating lessons related to these topics in the coming weeks. 

While I do love teaching and helping people to better themselves and further their careers, this is not my only profession. I am also a ghostwriter and editor, with 4 years experience helping businesses to create captivating web content, blogs, articles. I have managed a team of ten writers as a lead editor in a content agency.

While working in this position, my job duties included upskilling, training and teaching the writers on how to make written text sound natural, and pleasant to read; not just coherent in English. 

And now I bring my skills to Cafetalk. I am offering business English lessons as well as proofreading and editing services at low costs.

In my English teaching lessons, we will start with an introduction lesson where I will ask you some questions to gauge your English level, as well as identify your objectives and goals. Maybe you need help preparing for a presentation, or an upcoming interview? Or perhaps you just want to increase your English speaking skills to further your career.

Whatever your motivations are for learning business English, I will craft lessons specific to your language level and your aims to ensure you reach your goals.

In my editing and proofreading lessons, I will review any text you send me, ensuring there are no mistakes, checking the language for 'unnatural' sounding words, and guaranteeing that the text will read as if it was written by a literarily skilled native English speaker.
