Could you top up the paper in the printer?
 
と言われたら？
プリンターに紙を補充しといて、ということですね！
 
「Top up」は「refill」と似たような意味でネイティブスピーカーはよく使います。
 
でも、違いがあるので注意してください。例えば、
 
僕のICOCAカードの残高が残り200円！足りないので、I have to top it up. のようにtop up は、お金をチャージする時に使えますが、refill はお金に対して使えません。
 
例文
 
I top up my humidifier every day.
加湿器は毎日補充している。
 
You have nearly finished your beer. Would you like a top-up?
もう少しでビールがなくなります、お代わりはいかがですか？
 
「Top up」はお金、飲み物、紙とかガソリンなどの液体に使えます。
