So many English learners find phrasal verbs and prepositions difficult to master, and it's not surprising! They are one of the most challenging parts of the language, sometimes they're logical...many times unfortunately not. 
Let's take the phrase 'make up'. How many different meanings can you think of for this phrase? 1...2....how about 7 or 8? Tricky right? I've given you a clue to one of the meanings in the photo for this column, but why not put some more examples in the chat box below?
