My Messy Desk Makes Me Happy

今週のテーマ: 講師のデスクを整理する方法

This is my desk.

My desk has got a lot of stuff on it, but I like having everything where I can see it. It makes it easy for me to organize my thoughts.

My mother makes fun of me because sometimes I leave all the cabinet doors open in the kitchen. She says that it looks silly, and maybe she's right. Still, I like to be able to see what's in my cabinets immediately! Then I can easily decide what kind of food I want to eat.

When I finish my morning classes, I go to my desk and check my habit tracker. I try to remember to do things like brush my teeth in the morning, jump rope, cook food for myself, and wash the dishes in the kitchen. I use a habit tracker to make sure that I balance all the different tasks I want to do daily. I can't do everything, but I can aim to do the most important ones at least every other day.

I also have a mental health tracker to help me understand how I'm feeling in the morning. My mental health tracker has a list of emotions such as "calm", "anxious", "sad", "joyful", etc. When I look at my list, I can better recognize how to take care of myself. I also keep a list of coping skills in case I need them.

My calendar and contact log are fun ways for me to remember which friends I'm going to hang out with, and when. If I haven't talked to a certain friend for a long time, my contact log helps remind me to contact that friend and ask them how they're doing.

I also keep a diary on my desk, and some inspirational sticky notes on the wall. I use my diary to write out the thoughts I have during the day. Sometimes I write about problems I'm chewing on, or ideas that I can't shake. Sometimes I just write about what I did that day. I like looking up at my sticky notes for inspiration. They have quotes I like, and questions that I want to ask myself. I think that inspiration is very important!

Do you feel inspired when you have a clean working space, or a messy one? Feel free to write your thoughts in the comments!
