Hello Cafetalk Students!

I just wanted to tell you, "I'm on Cloud 9"! (Do you know what this American idiom means? It means to be very happy--having accomplished some great achievement!) Thank you very much for the honor and joy! I appreciate it very much!

How have you been? I wanted to extend my genuine greetings to my students and potential new students! I hope your spring/summer is going well for you!

[Regarding my Acting Career:]
As you may know, I have been an actress in Hollywood for over twenty years. I hope you can watch my video on my Profile Page. It has snippets of my acting work over the decades. 

Since I've moved to Canada and started teaching on Cafetalk, I've been fortunate enough to get several acting roles. Although I've established myself in Hollywood for many years, I've had to start all over again in Canada. I've been auditioning quite frequently, but it's extremely difficult to land the roles among so much competition.

At the same time, I believe it is important to have grit and never give up on your dreams. Every acting job is a blessing and a passion for me! I hope I get another job soon! I will keep going even though the odds are against me. I will let you know as soon as I get another acting job!

Having said the above, the auditions are few and far between. My main focus now is to help my students improve their English. Being a Cafetalk tutor is my first and foremost responsibility and commitment.

I sit in front of the computer all day long, teaching or being on online standby. So, please request a lesson or catch me on online standby sometime. I get up at 4:00 am in the morning to start teaching at 5:00 am (Canada time). 5:00 am is 8:00 pm in Japan time, so it's the peak hours. I rest during the day and start again at 3:00 pm Canada time (which is 6:00 am Japan time). So, basically, I'm available most of the time--if I'm not sleeping that is.

【私の女優としての活動について】

ご存知の方もいらっしゃるかと思いますが、私は20年以上にわたりハリウッドで女優として活動してきました。私のプロフィールページには、これまでの出演作品をまとめた短い動画がありますので、よろしければご覧ください。

カナダに移住し、Cafetalkで英語を教え始めてからも、いくつかの演技の仕事をいただく機会に恵まれました。ただ、ハリウッドでのキャリアがあっても、カナダでは一からの再スタートです。オーディションには頻繁に挑戦していますが、競争が非常に激しく、役を得るのはとても難しいのが現実です。

それでも、私は「夢をあきらめないこと」「粘り強く努力すること」が大切だと信じています。どんな演技の仕事も、私にとっては情熱と喜びにあふれたかけがえのない経験です。近いうちにまたチャンスがあることを願っています。そして、新しい役が決まったら、皆さんにもすぐにお知らせしますね！

【Cafetalk講師としての現在の目標】

とはいえ、オーディションの機会はそれほど多くありません。
現在の私の一番の目標は、生徒の皆さんの英語力を向上させることです。
Cafetalkの講師としての活動は、私の最も大切な責任であり、そして誓いでもあります。

私は毎日パソコンの前に座り、レッスンを行ったり、オンライン待機をしています。
どうぞ、お気軽にレッスンをご予約いただくか、スタンバイ中にお声がけください。

毎朝カナダ時間の4:00に起きて、5:00からレッスンを開始します。（日本時間では20:00で、ちょうどピークタイムです！）
日中は少し休憩を取り、午後3:00（日本時間6:00）から再びレッスンを行います。
つまり、寝ていない時間であれば、ほとんどいつでもレッスン可能です！
