In many countries June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate and support LGBTQ+ issues.
多くの国では、6月はプライド月間であり、LGBTQ+のことを祝い、支援する時期です。
But why is Pride necessary?

It’s because LGBTQ+ people still face discrimination.

There are still many countries around the world where homosexuality is even illegal.
世界中で、同性愛が違法な国が今もたくさんあります。
However, it used to be different. Historically, homosexuality was considered normal in these countries.
