Use movies to start your conversation

Polly

We, as human beings, love to talk. We love to connect with people and make new friends.

Some of us excel at it, while some of us are not so good at it. I’d say it’s not a problem, though.

Everyone loves movies, and they can be great icebreakers or a way to connect.

Recently, I met someone who was a beginner in the English language and could only form a few short sentences. At first, one might think, “How will I talk to this person? We can’t communicate well.”
Believe it or not, we talked for thirty minutes. And guess what? We talked about the movie
Mission: Impossible. That’s what interest and passion can do.

If you like movies or web series and want to practice talking about it, find me on Cafetalk.

Bonus - Grammar points to learn from this article:

1. You can use ‘though’ at the end of a sentence instead of ‘but.’

It makes your point sound more natural or conversational.

2. Use a comma before ‘and’ to slightly change the tone.

It makes the sentence feel like two separate points.
