As a teacher, reviewing a lesson is an important part of improving my practice and ensuring my students are truly learning.
After each lesson, I take time to reflect on the following:
- Lesson objectives
Did I achieve the intended learning outcomes? Were students able to understand and engage with the key concepts? - Student engagement
Which parts of the lesson captured students’ interest the most? Where did they seem distracted or confused? - Teaching strategies
What methods worked well (discussion, examples, activities)? What could I improve or do differently next time? - Student understanding
Were students able to answer questions and apply the knowledge? What misconceptions did I notice? - Timing and pacing
Did I manage time effectively? Were some sections rushed or too slow? - Assessment and feedback
Did I check for understanding effectively? How can I improve my questioning or feedback? - Areas for improvement
What will I adjust in my next lesson to make it more effective?
Regular reflection helps me grow as an educator and better support my students’ learning journey.
