Do you ever get bored on rainy days? If you wake up to a gray, rainy day, why not see it as an opportunity? If you plan to stay inside, why not designate your day as a rainy review day? You'll need to get cozy and get motivated, adjust your frame of mind, then take advantage of your day.
Get Cozy and Get Motivated
On a rainy day, it is easy to feel you have little or no energy and absolutely no motivation. If you create a cozy, comfortable environment, you'll feel more motivated. Why not make a cup of tea, and find a cozy well-lit corner for your studies? Why not play some relaxing music and even (if you wish) close the curtains so the gloomy day outside will not disturb your cozy space indoors. Now, you should feel more energetic and motivated.
Adjust Your Frame of Mind
Now that you have a cozy study space, it's time to adjust your frame of mind. If rainy days make you feel tired or lazy,think positively and tell yourself that "mother nature" has granted you a wonderful opportunity. You now have time to review in the cozy, peacful, space you have created.
Enjoy your Rainy Review Day
Now that you have created a cozy space and adjusted your frame of mind, it is time to take advantage of mother nature's gift. You may gather materials from recent classes and review them at your own pace, or you may simply choose materials in your target language (like articles, movies, or podcasts) which you wish to review. Whatever you choose, you'll strengthen and reinforce your language skills. You may even look forward to your new habit of rainy review days!
