What I enjoyed learning as a student

今週のテーマ: 学生時代に好きだった勉強

Julia B

While studying for my Master's degree in English Language and English Teaching, I found linguistics and English language teaching methodology fascinating.

Studying linguistics gave me a deeper understanding of language beyond grammar and vocabulary. I enjoyed learning how languages are structured, how they evolve, and how culture influences the way we communicate.

This passion for languages has continued long after I graduated. I am currently studying Japanese, and being a language learner reminds me every day that progress comes through patience, curiosity and consistent practice. Every new word, expression or conversation is another step towards understanding not only the language itself but also the culture behind it.

My interest in Japan has also become an important part of my learning journey. I have travelled extensively throughout Japan and enjoy learning about its traditions, culture and everyday life.

What
I enjoyed most as a student was discovering how languages bring people together. That curiosity continues to inspire me to learn, explore and share my passion for languages with others.

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and conversation-based. I want my students to feel comfortable speaking without worrying about making mistakes. Confidence grows when we enjoy the conversation, and every lesson is an opportunity to practise English in a natural and encouraging environment.

If you are looking for someone who loves languages, enjoys meaningful conversations and believes that learning English can be both enjoyable and rewarding, I would be delighted to meet you.
