Success means different things to different people, ranging from financial wealth to academic achievement. For a long time, I viewed success through those conventional lenses as well. However, as time went on, my perspective underwent a meaningful transformation. Today, I truly believe that success is defined by perseverance—the resolve to keep going, stay committed, and press forward no matter what obstacles stand in your way.
Personally, this belief was put to the ultimate test while I was working toward my Master’s in Education. The journey was far from smooth; I faced unexpected setbacks, moments of overwhelming self-doubt, and times when giving up felt like the easiest choice. Yet, with faith and determination, I managed to cross the finish line. Because of that triumph over adversity, the year 2015 will forever be engraved in my mind as one of the greatest successes of my life. To me, finishing the race was the true victory.
