What Success Means to Me

EmmaJB

Success isn't about having everything you ever wanted. It isn't being the best in your job or the most popular person in school.

It's about never giving up.

Success is a series of failures which inspired you to keep going. Those moments in which you thought you would never achieve something, but you kept trying. That's success.

Here's a list of people who are successful. I'll explain why.

1. Albert Einstein.
He faced difficulties finding an academic job after university, but continued developing his scientific ideas and became one of the most influential physicists in history.

2. Thomas Edison
Thomas experienced numerous unsuccessful experiments while developing his inventions. His persistence helped him create a practical, long-lasting electric light bulb.

3. Walt Disney
Disney had to deal with business failures and financial difficulties before building one of the world's most successful entertainment companies.

4. Marie Curie –
Marie Curie faced discrimination because she was a woman and struggled financially while pursuing her education. She refused to give up her scientific ambitions and became the first person to win two Nobel Prizes.

5. Vera Wang
Dreamed of becoming an Olympic figure skater but failed to qualify for the Olympics. She later worked in fashion and, at the age of 40, started her own bridal design business, becoming a world-famous fashion designer.

The most important thing to remember when considering success, is that you have to keep going, keep enduring. Just don't give up.
