Success for me is having accomplished my goals for the day, week, month or year – whether those goals are small medium or large. It is understanding why goals were not met and adjusting my mind-set and schedule, whilst keeping a positive attitude and feeling at peace with myself. Above all, it is following God’s guidance.
Success for me is also about being able to share and making a positive difference, whether it is slipping a donation into someone’s hand, allowing another car to go ahead of me or taking time to be there for others.
Success for me is having taken the time to truly listen, whether it is to my student, friends, family or myself. Cherishing them.
As a writer, it is finding the right word, the right expression to reflect what I envision. As an ESL tutor, it is sensing the confidence rising within my students and hearing them communicate, using words not known a week, a month or a year ago.
Success for me comes from so many things. Above all, it is a feeling of generosity, connectedness, thankfulness, contentment and peace.
