Intermediate and advanced free talk: The Closeness Quiz
Pack of 4
1,500 Points per lesson
We'll work back and forth with a famous quiz from a psychological study created to generate closeness between speakers!
Lesson Pack Details
- This is a lesson pack of 4 lessons in total. When you send the request for the first lesson, points for all 4 lessons will be deducted at once.
- Once the tutor confirms the first request, “100% OFF coupons” that can be used for the remaining 3 requests will be issued automatically.
- You can use these coupons to send requests for the remaining lessons.
- The validity period for this lesson pack is 30 days starting from the scheduled date and time of the first confirmed lesson.
Even if the first scheduled lesson is canceled, the already set validity period will not change.

The Greater Good in Action Science Center developed a quiz with the aim to generate more closeness between people. It consists of 3 sets of questions (12 questions each) with increasing levels of closeness.
Here is a simple breakdown:
Lesson 1: Quick introductions and questions 1 - 12.
Lesson 2: Questions 13 - 24.
Lesson 3: Questions 25 - 36.
Lesson 4: Extra time to cover any of the sets in more depth.
Ideally, each quiz should be completed in 45 minutes by native speakers, but because we are practicing language, we MAY NOT finish all the questions for each set on their respective day.
That is why we have an extra day to cover as many unfinished questions as possible, or to go into more detail with extra practice and reflect on the previous lessons. That means you are getting 4 lessons for the price of 3!
Each lesson is 50 minutes long.
The main objective is not just finishing all the quiz, it's more about engaging with questions that demand reflection, sharpen your speaking skills, and also help you practice listening actively in order to keep the conversation going.
Ideal students: Higher intermediate or advanced students (B1 and above).
During the lesson, feedback and suggestions will be provided for the most the important or recurring grammar and pronunciation mistakes, because the goal of the lesson is to practice real conversation, not to stop at every grammar point.
Lessons must be taken within 30 days of the first lesson date.

Cancellation of pack lessons
• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack
• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
