Subtitle: Learning Basic Colors through Fun Activities
Length: 15 minutes
Suitability: Ideal for beginners, specifically designed for under 5 years old in Early Childhood Education and Primary School.

Materials Needed:

*Colorful flashcards or pictures of common objects in various colors (red apple, blue sky, etc.)
*Crayons or colored pencils
*Large piece of paper or Whiteboard
*Optional: Colorful toys or objects for visual aids

Lesson Plan:

1. Warm-Up (2 minutes):
*Greet the student /students with a cheerful "Hello!" and encourage them to respond.
*Engage them with a simple warm-up activity like clapping to a rhythmic chant or singing a familiar song about colors.
2. Introduction to Colors (3 minutes):
*Hold up a flashcard or picture of a red object and ask, "What color is this?"
Repeat the question, emphasizing the color.
*Encourage the children to respond by saying "red."
*Repeat the process with a few more colors (blue, yellow, green) to ensure understanding.
3. Coloring Activity (5 minutes):
*Distribute coloring sheets or plain paper and crayons/pencils to each child.
*Call out a color and instruct the child/children to color a specific area of their paper with that color.
*Provide assistance and positive reinforcement as needed.
4. Interactive Game (3 minutes):
*Use the large piece of paper or whiteboard to draw simple shapes (circle, square, triangle) in different colors.
*Invite the child/children to take turns naming the shapes and colors.
*For added fun, encourage them to hop and clap once for each correct answer.
5. Conclusion (2 minutes):
*Gather the child/children together and review the colors learned during the lesson.
*Sing a goodbye song or chant, incorporating the colors learned.
*Encourage the child/children to practice identifying colors in their everyday surroundings.

Extension Ideas:

*Incorporate storytelling with colorful illustrations.
*Arrange a "color hunt" where children search for objects of specific colors in the classroom or outdoor enviroment.
*Introduce simple color mixing activities using primary colors (red + blue = purple, etc.)

Notes:

*Keep instructions simple and use visual aids whenever possible to support understanding.
*Be enthusiastic and encouraging to create a positive learning environment.
