課程介紹
Choosing this lesson will engage you with a native English speaker (and a standard North American accent) in an unscripted conversation. I can start, and the conversation can go wherever you like.
We will talk casually (or semi-casually) for 30 min. Then for the next 20 min, the conversation will become a springboard to uncover and understand your particular strengths and weaknesses in English verbal communication.
During the conversation, I will be noting down points that call for attention. In turn, you will be encouraged to mark down questions that may come up from your listening experience.
We will not use the chat during those first 30 min. I won't be correcting you as you speak, nor will I make any comments to break up the flow of the conversation for its allotted 30 min.
We will spend the last 20 min. of the lesson on specifics of vocabulary, pronunciation and overall delivery. Grammar and syntax will be discussed if a persistent issue arises, but intermediary English proficiency should cover the bases here.
My part of the conversation will adapt to your level of proficiency; as slow or fast as you like. This isn't an evaluation on your proficiency level. It is meant to foster ease and confidence, in way that improvement comes smoothly.
Your ever-increasing confidence will shine to put any other English speaker at ease, even more than grammatical correctness or having a native accent. We are all unique in our needs, strengths and weaknesses.
Since the conversation and lesson will also mirror your own abilities, I will encouirage the lesson to be recorded so you can listen from outside of the conversation and the lesson that follows.
If you are uncomfortable noting questions or find that taking notes disrupts the flow, you can review the lesson at your leisure and bring any questions to the next lesson, which will play into our next 30 min. dialogue, should you decide to continue this process with me.
I hope you do, because together we can uncover your unique path to learning to think as well as speak comfortably in English. As you focus where you need most, the conversation will become more fluid, and you can be yourself more when you speak; under any circunstances or conditions that calls for it.
So come in, for a full lesson you can record, or a ten minute sample session. The trial includes just a little conversation to see if my style and delivery fits your needs.
