Description
This is Lesson 2 of a Brazilian Portuguese course for beginners. It is designed for students who are starting from zero or who would like to review the most essential structures of the language.
In this lesson, you will begin learning how to use three fundamental Portuguese verbs: ser, estar, and ter.
We will practise how to:
- introduce yourself and other people;
- talk about professions and nationalities;
- say where people and objects are;
- express feelings and physical sensations, such as hunger, thirst, cold, sleepiness, and pain;
- talk about age, family, possessions, and physical characteristics;
- use simple adjective agreement in Portuguese.
You will work with images, short texts, guided exercises, and simple questions and answers. We will focus on the activities that are most useful for your level and learning pace.
You will practise sentences such as:
- Eu sou brasileira.
- Ela está em São Paulo.
- Nós estamos em casa.
- Ele está com sede.
- Ela tem dois filhos.
- Eles são estudantes.
The lesson is taught in a calm, supportive, and welcoming environment. I will explain the differences between ser, estar, and ter clearly and help you build your first sentences with confidence.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to introduce yourself, describe basic information about people, say where someone is, and express simple feelings and sensations in Brazilian Portuguese.
