Description

If you’re preparing for the IELTS exam, this course is designed to help you achieve your target band score.

This intensive 3-hour IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 preparation pack, delivered in three focused 50-minute lessons, is designed exclusively for candidates taking the IELTS Academic module who want fast, structured improvement. The course explains how Academic Writing Task 1 is assessed, what examiners expect at different band levels, and how to approach each visual data task with confidence. Students learn how to analyze charts, graphs, tables, maps, and process diagrams accurately, identify key features, and select and report the most relevant information without unnecessary detail. The lessons focus on writing clear introductions and overviews, grouping and comparing data logically, describing trends and changes precisely, and using appropriate grammatical structures such as tense consistency, comparatives, and complex sentences. Learners also develop task-specific vocabulary for trends, proportions, and approximations, while avoiding common errors that reduce band scores. Throughout the course, students produce practice Task 1 responses under exam conditions and receive targeted feedback on task achievement, coherence and cohesion, grammatical accuracy, and lexical resource, helping them make measurable progress in a short time.

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Less than 1hours before lesson start time.→ 100% of price charged.
  • Between 1-6hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
  • No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
