Comparing and contrasting two things

What We Will Do

  • Look at photos: We will look at pictures and say if they are a city or the countryside.

  • Share our lives: Do you live in a city or the countryside? We will discuss. I will also share where I live.

  • Watch a video: We will watch a short video where people talk about if they feel happier in the city or the countryside. You will answer some questions about it.

  • Learn grammar: I will teach you how to use comparative adjectives with simple examples.

  • Practise speaking: We will practise speaking by comparing different things together.

What You Will Learn

  • Grammar: How to use comparative adjectives (e.g., bigger, more beautiful, more expensive).

  • Vocabulary: Words to describe life in the city and the countryside (e.g., quiet, busy, clean, polluted, modern, peaceful).

  • Communication: How to compare two things and express your personal preferences.
