Hi All,
My name is Diana. I'm an English Conversation Tutor from the UK.
In my lessons, you'll get to practise everyday topics and gain confidence in speaking with personalised conversational lessons.
I hold a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (TEFL) and completed a B.A. in German with honours.
I've also had the opportunity to use my knowledge of German while working in office-based roles for a number of international companies. I therefore understand the challenges that students face when learning a second language.
I previously taught English to international students at Bedfordshire University. During that time, I introduced students to general, business and academic English and helped them to prepare for their Cambridge English exams.
During your introductory lesson, I'll be more than happy to go through a needs analysis to evaluate the different types of vocabulary and grammar that will be useful for you in future lessons.
Finally, I enjoy reading and will usually have two books on the go. I particularly love classics, memoirs, historical fiction and the occasional psychological thriller. My other favourite hobby is uncovering hidden gems. I love seeking out unique places in both London and my hometown. Here are some pics of the recent places I discovered.
The last remaining lighthouse in London! Nearby was a cafe where I had a vegetarian English breakfast.
1940s-themed pub in London (a former underground station) in the 'ticket hall' area
By chance, I came across this beautiful hidden gem in my hometown. A community garden run by volunteers.
An ornamental garden I found after 20 years of living in my hometown. I hadn't even realised it existed all this time!
