Do you love learning about new places? The UK is made up of different islands, and some of these are called the Channel Islands. Have you heard of them before?
I grew up on the island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. These islands are located between the UK and France, and have a unique British culture. We speak English, but we have our own language, too! The Channel Islands were occupied by the Germans during WW2 and have a very interesting history. We have special dishes we eat, as well.
In this 45-minute lesson, we will learn about the Channel Islands through reading/listening exercises and discussions. Learn more about the Channel Islands, a little-known slice of British Culture. This lesson is suitable for adults of an intermediate level and above (CEFR level B1 and above). Thank you!
