Teacher asks students:

Write their answers on the board or repeat to build confidence.
Teach Key Phrases (3 min)
Teach and drill:
- 
Where are you from? 
- 
I’m from __ (country). 
- 
What is your nationality? 
- 
I’m __ (nationality). 
- 
What is your country famous for? 
- 
It’s famous for __ (food/culture/place). 
Quick practice: Point at a country on a map/flag and ask:
- 
“Where is this?” 
Guided Conversation (5 min)
Students practice this dialogue in pairs:
A: Hi! What’s your name?
B: I’m __. What’s your name?
A: I’m __. Nice to meet you! Where are you from?
B: I’m from __. And you?
A: I’m from __. What is your country famous for?
B: It’s famous for __.
Teacher models first, then pairs practice.
Quick Role Play (3 min)
Students pretend they are from a different country.
- 
Teacher gives each student a country/nationality. 
 Example:
 “You are from Brazil. You are Brazilian. Your country is famous for football and carnival.”
Students walk around or pair up:
- 
“Hi, what’s your name?” 
- 
“Where are you from?” 
Wrap-Up (1 min)
Ask:
- 
“What country did you learn about today?” 
- 
“What question can you ask a new friend?”
