- Target: This lesson is great for intermediate to advanced level English learners. High school students to adults will find this lesson most enjoyable.
- Topic: If you plan on travelling or studying abroad or just want to learn more about foreign residents in your own country, this lesson will provide useful dialogue that you can use to learn about new cultures and how they compare to your own culture.
- Outcome/s: This lesson has many opportunities for English speaking and active listening practice, as well as learning new vocabulary phrases. This lesson also encourages cultural awareness.
- Introduction: First off, we will exchange basic greetings to get to know one another better.
- Main activity: Here we will talk about an aspect of your native country's culture that you are most interested in. You will also learn more about my native country's culture. We will practice key phrases and asking follow-up questions.
- Conclusion: We will check what you have learned in this lesson and think of additional questions to ask. You will also have an opportunity to practice the skills you just learned in a way that you're most comfortable with.
