Did you love the English TV show, Bridgerton? Who is your favourite character? Which series did you enjoy the most? Let's chat about the show and read an extract from one of the novels. Perfect for Upper Intermediate and Advanced students!
Don't worry - you don't need to have read any of the Bridgerton books already! I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, as well as TEFL certification, so I will guide you through this reading lesson - I love to talk about novels and I'm a huge fan of the Bridgerton TV series!
We'll start with a quick chat about the TV show or books and check out some new vocabulary, then we'll read an extract from the novel together (either you can read the whole extract out loud to practice your pronunciation, or we can take it in turns to read out a paragraph each). As we read, we will discuss any unfamiliar vocabulary or phrases you don't understand, so you will learn new words as well!
After this, we will answer simple questions about what we have read, then finish with a further discussion about the story, the characters, the setting, the show, the actors, or anything else you would love to discuss about this wonderful fictional world!
