Australia's Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef in Australia is the world's largest, living coral reef system (bigger than Switzerland, Holland, and the United Kingdom combined!), the largest living organism on earth, and is even visible from space! In 1985 the Great Barrier Reef was the first coral reef ecosystem in the world to be awarded World Heritage status.
In this lesson, you will learn some interesting facts about Australia's Great Barrier Reef. You will also learn about the environmental threats that face this natural wonder. Is it too late to save the reef?
