IELTS Writing Strategies for TASKS 1 and/or 2
This class covers strategies for your IELTS Writing Tasks 1 and 2 - Please let me know in your lesson request if you wish to focus on one or the other.
课程介绍
I am a trained IELTS teacher and this class examines IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 - Describing Diagrams, Graphs, Charts(Line, bar , pie charts) and / or Task 2 , based on your area of focus .
When you place a booking, please let me know which type of IELTS test you will be sitting for (Academic or General) in order to identify if this class is suitable for you and also enable the appropriate materials to be covered during class.
You may wish to let me know what you previous band score is if you have taken the test previously, or you may wish to let me know which types of writing task you find challenging to complete.
This will help better customise the class to address your weaknesses.
In the class, we will cover the following:
- understanding the question clearly and what it is asks for,
- structuring your ideas ,
- the importance of paraphrasing
- word choice and varied word choices
- where to express your opinion
- paragraphing and how long these should be
- coherence in writing
- complex versus simple vocabularies
- what to NOT write about in Task 1
Classes will be structured to cover the following:
- Line , graph, chart and table analysis

- Expressing opinions, agree and disagree essays
- Cause and effect, Advantages and Disadvantages, Problems, Solutions
