✔ Respond politely and clearly in casual conversation
✔ Feel more confident starting conversations in English
🧩 Lesson Structure (60 mins)
1. 🗣️ Warm-Up: Conversation Starters (10 mins)
Display simple questions:

“What’s your name?”

“Where are you from?”
-
“What do you do?”
-
“Why are you learning English?”
Activity: Students answer in pairs or with the teacher. Encourage full sentences and follow-up questions.
➡ “I’m from Brazil. And you?”
2. 📚 Key Phrases & Vocabulary (10 mins)
Teach and drill:

“Nice to meet you.”
-
“I’m a student / I work as a ___.”
-
“I live in ___.”
-
“How about you?”
-
“I’m learning English because…”
Practice: Sentence-building game (drag-and-drop, match, or say-the-sentence).
3. 🎤 Speaking Practice: Mini Introductions (10 mins)
Activity: Students introduce themselves in 4–5 sentences.
Optional twist: Add 1 “fun fact” (hobby, favorite food, travel dream).
➡ “Hi, I’m David. I’m 22 and I study IT. I live in Mexico City. I love playing guitar!”
⏸️ Break Time (5 mins)
Encourage a quick reset. : “Be back in 5 with a glass of water and a smile!” 😄
4. 🎧 Listening Practice: Meeting at a Language Café (10 mins)
Play or read a short conversation:
A: “Hi! I’m Sarah.”
B: “Nice to meet you. I’m Luca. Where are you from?”
A: “I’m from Canada. You?”
B: “Italy. I study marketing here.”
Comprehension check:
➡ Where are they from? What do they study? Who says what?
5. 🗨️ Real-Life Practice: Roleplay (10 mins)
Set the scene: You’re at a party / café / orientation event.
Students roleplay meeting for the first time.
Use real-life English:
➡ “Hi, I don’t think we’ve met.”
➡ “What do you do?”
➡ “Do you like living here?”
Optional prompt cards to guide the interaction.
6. ✅ Wrap-Up & Reflection (5 mins)
Ask students:

“What new phrase did you learn today?”

“How confident do you feel meeting someone in English?”
Encourage them to use one phrase from class in real life this week.
📝 Homework
Write or record a short self-introduction (30–60 seconds).
Include name, where you're from, what you do, and one fun fact.
