Class Goals:

  • Learn to speak, listen, and understand Javanese based on daily life.

  • Recognize the difference between Ngoko (informal) and Krama (formal polite language).

  • Explore Javanese culture (traditions, etiquette, music, stories).

  • Build practical language skills through conversation, games, and roleplay

     Lesson Flow (Customized by Level):

    🔹 Beginner Level:

    • Greetings, introducing yourself, daily objects vocabulary.

    • Practice short phrases and simple questions.

    • Fun games: picture matching, sing along traditional songs (Gundul-Gundul Pacul, Sluku-Sluku Bathok).

    🔹 Intermediate Level:

    • Expand vocabulary into hobbies, food, school, family.

    • Practice short dialogues (example: buying food at the market, meeting friends).

    • Roleplay different real-life situations.

    • Learn short Javanese folktales (like Timun Mas).

    🔹 Advanced Level:

    • Dive deeper into Krama (polite Javanese).

    • Practice storytelling, opinion sharing, and discussion.

    • Explore Javanese philosophy, proverbs (Paribasan), and traditional ceremonies.

    • Correct grammar, pronunciation, and cultural nuances.
