I'm a Chinese teacher. I also studied psychology as an undergraduate.
Emotions weigh you down when you keep them inside. Saying them out loud — that's where the release is.
Here's what this session is: you show up with whatever's on your mind, and we talk for 25 minutes. Complaints, rants, joy, frustration — anything goes. You speak in Chinese. I listen, like someone who actually gets it.
I'm not here to "teach you Chinese." I'm here to help you say what's really on your mind — in Chinese. When your focus shifts from "I need to practice speaking" to "I need to get this off my chest," the language takes care of itself.
What you'll get:
- Emotional release — like a mini therapy session
- Real, useful Chinese expressions you'll actually want to use (sent to you after class)
- Someone who listens, understands Chinese, and has a background in psychology
What we talk about:
- How was your day? — good stuff, annoying stuff, random stuff
- That person, that thing — the one you've been wanting to talk about
- Work / Family / Life — overtime, arguments, frustrations, the things that get to you
- Saying how you really feel in Chinese — not textbook sentences like "I am sad," but the real stuff: "I'm so done with this," "This person drives me crazy," "I'm so pissed off"
Think of it as a therapy session. We just happen to do it in Chinese.
Who's it for: Anyone who just wants to talk. Your Chinese level is secondary. Wanting to speak is what matters.
