Grammar: 'if' sentences (conditionals)

Conditionals (sentences with 'if' parts in them) are complicated. We have 5 different structures in English. Let's practice them and learn some tips, so you will become more fluent and confident.

Description

In English we make many 'if' (or 'when' or 'unless') sentences. Here's an example:

If you love sushi, you will love this restaurant.

in Japanese:

寿司が好きなら、このレストランを気に入るはずです.

The grammar of these conditional sentences looks difficult, but it isn't. To make 'if' sentences you need to follow strict rules and I will explain those to you. In this lesson you will learn the structure, practice using the conditionals and have time to ask any questions you have.
