Description

We all have possessions that tell a story. Perhaps it's a childhood toy, a favourite book, a family photograph, a souvenir from your travels, a treasured gift, or something useful that you use every day. In this lesson, you'll choose and bring one (or more!) item that has a special meaning for you and tell me all about it. You are welcome to bring it to the lesson and show it to me but don't worry if it's too big, you can just describe it or show me a photo!

Talking about personal objects is a wonderful way to improve your English because it naturally encourages you to use:

  • descriptive vocabulary
  • storytelling skills
  • past & present tenses
  • expressing opinions, memories & emotions
  • explaining reasons
  • answering follow-up questions and having a natural conversation

This lesson is suitable for all levels because you can make your explanation as simple or as detailed as you wish. I'll ask questions to help you develop your ideas, introduce useful vocabulary and expressions, and build your confidence speaking naturally.

You don't need to prepare a presentation—just bring your chosen item to the lesson and we'll let the conversation develop naturally.

  • Less than 1hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
  • No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
