I have been taking lessons with Koyuki Sensei since October 2023, and throughout that time I have been consistently impressed with the quality of her teaching. When I started, I had almost no knowledge of Japanese. Since then, we have worked through the Genki 1 and Genki 2 textbooks together, and we are now about to begin Quartet. What I appreciate most about Koyuki Sensei's teaching style is the balance she strikes between patience, encouragement, and challenge. Her lessons are always enjoyable and engaging, but she also knows how to push me in the right way so that I continue to improve and stay motivated. She is highly adaptable and is always able to tailor her approach to my individual needs as a learner. I genuinely look forward to every lesson and feel motivated to study between sessions, often thinking ahead to what we will cover next. 黒先生のレッスンはいつも完璧に準備されていて、とても充実しています。例えば、絵について話すときは、まず私の話を聞いてくれて、その後に一緒に間違いを一つひとつ確認してくださいます。さらに、使える語彙リストをくださったり、最後に文法まで丁寧に教えてくださったりするので、非常に効率的に学べます。先生の教えてくれる内容はどれも本当に価値があり、私の日本語が確実に上達すると確信しています。いつも笑顔で、お話ししていてとても楽しく、毎回レッスンがあっという間です。本当にありがとうございます！ Kuro Sensei always comes to class very well-prepared. When we discuss topics like picture, he first encourages me to speak, and then we go over my mistakes together. After that, he provides a list of useful vocabulary, and he finishes the lesson by reviewing the relevant grammar structures, making the session incredibly productive. The knowledge he shares is truly valuable, and I am confident that his teaching style will significantly help me improve my Japanese.
