Her lessons are always interesting and wonderful, so I'm looking forward to taking her lessons.

Phillip is truly remarkable as a teacher. When I first took his lessons, I didn’t realize I would fall in love with reading and truly understand how to read. I’m so glad I embarked on this journey with him. From short essays to mid-length novels, and now, we’ve just finished a Shakespeare play… it’s been a long journey for me, with many obstacles in reading and comprehension—each one of them has transformed me. I’ve learned to read more deeply, both inside and outside the text (author background, historical context, etc.), to think in different ways from different perspectives, and to interpret characters' words and tones, among other things. It’s not just because I started reading, but also because Phillip kept discussing the topics and related things with me, guiding me on techniques and what to focus on, etc. It’s always a pleasure to exchange thoughts on the works, and his humorous personality is definitely a plus. With Phillip, I can express everything I want to say and take notes without feeling judged. It’s relaxing, fun, and inspiring… With Phillip’s reading lessons, you get it all!

Koyuki Sensei is a skilled Japanese teacher, and I have learned a lot in the year that I have been her student. I started with very few skills and not much solid experience and went on to pass the N5 exam in 9 months. I feel more confident in my day-to-day life after what I have been taught and intend to continue learning from Koyuki Sensei for as long as possible. Her skills lie in creating a friendly, fun and relaxed space for her students to practice and make mistakes within. You work hard and are very productive without realizing. I feel that I can experiment and push myself in her classes and she is very skilled at pinpointing areas that I need to improve upon and flexibly adapting lesson plans to my needs. I look forward to her classes every week and feel motivated to work hard outside of classes so I can continue improving and we can have more in-depth conversations in the near future.

ハングル文字を書く時，どう書いたら美しく，バランス良く書けるか…と自分の書く文字に自信がありませんでした。しかし、私の癖やバランスをわかりやすく教えていただくと，激変。そのおかげで、筆ペンや水性ペンなどを使って文字を書くのを楽しんでます。先生の書く文字は，めちゃくちゃ素敵です。

先生はとても明るく話しやすいのでレッスンはとても楽しかったです。レッスン内容は、イディオムとなぞなぞ両方してもらいました。時間が50分でしたがあっという間でした。レッスン後にイメージ画と問題と答えなども送ってもらえてので復習がしやすかったです。会話上手で、教材などもしっかり準備してあり、内容が濃いレッスンでした。ありがとうございました。
