課程介紹

In this lesson, I will proofread any type of document for you (in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint format please). I can proofread as many words as possible during the 50 minute session and every time I make a change, I will explain it so this can be a session where you can learn something from your mistakes.

Your document will be corrected using the 'TRACK CHANGES' function where any corrections can be seen and later 'accepted' by you. Your document will then be sent back to you fully corrected.

Please attach your document to the lesson request page before the start of your lesson so I can open the file before we start the session.

I also offer offline proofreading for different word-counts. For example, if you have a document containing 2,500 words, please book 2 x 'Up to 1,000 words offline proofreading' and 1 x 'Up to 500 words offline proofreading'. Please click on the links below for more information:

He is very attentive, he always gives me a lot of new informations about the usage of English, which I can never get from any kind of textbooks. Also I have been very much fond of his british accent and the way he speaks. I want to absorb as much as I can. 今日も知らないことをたくさん学びました。大人になってから学ぶことを忘れていたように思い、最近また頑張ろうと本腰を入れていますが、先生のレッスンはいつも本当に楽しくて学びがあります。また私が長年先生のレッスンを受けていますが、話し方やアクセントも好きなのだと思います。ノンネイティブだけれども、先生のように話せるようになりたいので、できるだけ吸収していきたいです。

I learned some new expressions and learned why some of the grammatical structure were wrong. Mark is a really experienced teacher. I have always had his lessons when I had really important phases of my life. 面接用の即興の英文を作り、それを見てもらい、修正してもらいました。とても勉強になるレッスンでした。新しい表現も覚えましたし、文法的な構造がなぜ間違っているのかもわかりました。マークは本当に経験豊富な先生です。私はいつも人生の重要な局面で彼のレッスンを受けています。

For the past few years, I have been asking him to proofread my important application documents in English. Even if you have worked very hard to write in English, you will always come across unnatural expressions, basic grammatical errors, etc. There is literally no end to language learning, so the more important a document is, the more time you need to spend reading it over and over again. That is what I have learnt. It must be tiring to look at so many letters on the screen, but I am very grateful to Mark, who is always very attentive to my English and teach me something very important. 近年はずっと、マーク先生に重要な申請書類の英文校正をお願いしています。英語とはずっと付き合ってきましたが、どんなに一生懸命に英語で書いても、不自然な表現、基本的な文法の間違いなど、必ず出てきます。大切な書類であれば、時間をかけて自分自身も、そしてネイティブチェックも、可能な限り何度も受けるべきだと考えています。一度にたくさんの文字をスクリーン上で読むのは、大変疲れると思います。それでも、いつも私の英語に気を配り、大切なことを教えてくれるマークには本当に心から感謝しています。
