[If you are looking for plain proofreading, please check my lesson entitled 'Proofreading Service'. This lesson is for purposefully practising and improving one's writing or for comprehensive subediting or ghostwriting.]
Hello! :)
If you answered in the affirmative (which is a fancy way of saying 'if you said yes', by the way!), then this lesson is for you!
Please send me your work at least a week before the lesson. I shall make the necessary corrections and send it back to you at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Please reread the script and analyse your mistakes, so that we can discuss and clarify during the lesson any changes you have questions about.
Alternatively, we can read and edit your work together during the lesson. This is a slower process, but it may be more effective if you make a lot of grammatical or lexical mistakes. It's also a more helpful method if you're a deep learner by nature, and want detailed explanations of your errors.
Submissions may be between 150 and 500 words, depending on your proficiency. Working on small writing assignments with great concentration and thorough correction is always more effective than writing long texts full of mistakes. Our brains can only process so many corrections at once, and to exhaust the brain is counterproductive! Once you've eliminated your most serious mistakes, I shall encourage you to write longer pieces :)
Continuous requests for subediting or ghostwriting: If you'd like me to assist with your writing project on a regular basis, I may be willing to change the duration, price or word limit of this lesson to suit your needs.
