Have you ever heard a group of English words that seemed very strange and totally illogical? Such phrases are examples of idiomatic English, and they are used every day in all sorts of situations.
This lesson is great for intermediate and advanced students who wish to improve their conversational skills. It will give you a better understanding of such common expressions and will greatly improve your English usage. You will also learn the humorous origins of many such phrases. Because English idioms are so common and numerous, this lesson may be repeated as often as the student wishes.
Don't worry: this lesson is fun and will not be difficult. "Take it straight from the horse's mouth"...
