A focus on American English pronunciation
课程介绍
In this lesson we will learn how to pronounce words and phrases clearly through discussion on topics or reading texts. You are free to bring your own material to class, or if you would like me to share my learning material, I'm happy to do that as well. The focus is American English pronunciation. I will guide you through the process as you learn to pronounce difficult or challenging words that might be written in a different way than how they are pronounced. Most often students get confused with pronouncing certain words since there are groups of words that look similar but are pronounced differently and some that don't match the original spelling.
Why is through pronounced as 'threw' and tough pronounced as 'tuff'?
And why is 'niche' pronounced as 'neesh' and not have much to do wth the literal spelling?
English can be a complex language when it comes to pronunciation and that is why in our lesson I will teach you how how to break up the words into syllables in a way that it is easier for you to remember them, and we will practice various example sentences using the word.
