Moi! Minä olen Maija.
I am a native Finnish teacher from Helsinki, currently living in Japan.

I speak Finnish (native), Japanese and English.
I have always loved both learning and teaching languages.

I have experience teaching in-person private and group lessons at language schools in Japan, and I currently teach Finnish online to students from all over the world.

As a Helsinki native, I can also teach puhekieli: spoken, everyday Finnish that is often not found in textbooks. I’m also happy to give advice about traveling in Helsinki or daily life and culture in Finland.

Teaching Finnish in Japan allows me to connect my life here with my home country, Finland. I truly enjoy sharing Finnish culture, traditions, and holidays with my students.
