Hi!
I’m Ric. I ‘m glad to meet you!

I am originally from the Philippines, but I have been living in Japan for more than 4 years now.  I speak Filipino and English, and I know some words in Japanese.  

Despite English being my second language, it has captivated my interest since childhood. At home, we mostly speak English rather than Filipino. This is because, I grew up with parents and relatives who worked abroad. With me, you can be confident that you will learn natural phrases commonly used in everyday conversations.

I have accumulated a total of 5 years of experience working as a customer service representative, where I handled calls from both the US and the UK. My responsibilities included resolving customer issues related to their phones and computers.

Afterward, in 2011, I transitioned into teaching English online, where I gained over 10 years of experience and accumulated thousands of teaching hours.

My students are mostly Japanese, spanning from children just beginning to learn English to adults preparing for interviews or planning to study abroad. Currently, I work as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in two elementary schools.

 

 

Teaching Method

I use the Communicative Approach in most of my lessons. My goal for you is to gain confidence in speaking English. We will use the 3Ps. Practice. Practice. Practice.

For adults, I am flexible and attentive to your specific needs. Whether it's role-playing scenarios, interview preparation, or career advancement strategies, we can customize the lessons to align with your goals and preferences.

For kids or young learners, the lessons will be enjoyable and engaging. My goal is for you to have fun while learning and to eventually find lasting motivation.

I always provide feedback and tips after each lesson to help you understand your current level and identify areas for improvement.
