Suja Tutor Profile

Hello everyone!

My name is Suja. I am an experienced, professional English teacher who is TESOL-certified, IELTS teacher-trained and also a CELPIP-trained as an instructor.

I've been teaching English online for over eight years now during which I coached several test candidates through test preparation in IELTS, CELPIP and schools tests and interviews.

I also offer a comprehensive curriculum in English focused on improving speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. My aim is to teach you to read and think about what you read and to apply your speaking skills to discuss what you have just read. In my classes you will learn how to articulate your views and use vocabulary well.

How will my lessons on Cafetalk help you?


The lessons I have designed on Cafetalk are aimed at increasing your confidence, fluency and command of the English language. Through our sessions, we will also work on pronunciation to ensure you deliver you ideas with clarity and convey them in an engaging way.

Many of my lessons have been designed as a lesson pack but there are several solo lessons that you can take before you make the transition onto a lesson pack.

I'm also more than happy to customise classes for those of you who have specific learning objectives. For example you might be looking for lessons to improve communication, attend an interview, chair a meeting or give a presentation. Some of you might wish to practice 2-way conversations for when you travel or speak with other native speakers. I have delivered group sessions to professionals at no more than 3 persons at a time and this can be made possible for you as well. Simply ask! :)




How do I sound?

I speak with a clear accent and will adjust my pace of speech, if you are a beginner so that you understand me. This pace will gradually increase to one that is normal, as you get better and better at the language.  

My focus will be on what is important for you , which is to ensure that you achieve your goals effectively and keep up with language practice. 




What do I do outside of work?

I love long nature-trails, theatreworks and art festivals. I also travel whenever I can! Apart from this, I am part of an urban sketching group and enjoy mixing watercolours in my sketches.  Chat with me to find out more if these are your favourite hobbies too.
